Hosea Matlou is a mainly self-taught artist who developed his drawing techniques through experimentation and mentoring by Atteridgeville-based artist, William Langa. Due to financial challenges, Hosea discovered his popular ink-and-flame embossing method which encompasses his latest work. His free-hand sketches illustrate real life occurrences, amusing but concurrently sombre, laden with social and political messages.
